The Opposite of Sex
Don Roos' 1998 Sundance Festival standout features Christina Ricci as perhaps the worst teenage girl on earth who moves in with her gay half-brother (Martin Donovan), only to run off to California with his boyfriend (Ivan Sergei) and a lot of cash. Lisa Kudrow, as the sister of Donovan's dead lover, is excellent as an old maid whose only emotional outlet is sarcastic hostility. Funny and original, but not for every taste. Good transfer, Dolby 2.0, trailer, an audio commentary with Roos, and deleted scenes with commentary.
