The Outer Limits: The Original Series: Season Two
Thanks to network meddling, the second season of this classic fantasy/horror anthology series from the 1960s wasn't as good as the first, but it did include Harlan Ellison's classic "Demon With a Glass Hand" and a strong two-parter starring Robert Duvall. On MGM's three-disc set, all 17 of the second season's hour-long episodes are here, along with a booklet of episode synopses, original airdates, trivia, and credits. The digital transfers look terrific, allowing for an expected amount of wear, in their original black-and-white, full-frame 1.33:1 ratios. The Dolby Digital 2.0 monaural audio is limited in range, but otherwise clear and solid. Three-DVD keep-case.
