L.A. Confidential

Three L.A. police officers with different agendas investigate a bizarre murder case, but things are not what they seem. This 1997 standout is one of the best films to come along in a long time, and Kevin Spacey, Russell Crowe, and Guy Pearce invest their characters with enough verisimilitude to make the film a captivating, vicarious experience. If you haven't seen this yet, I envy you, because I wish I could go back to seeing L.A. Confidential for the first time. Special Edition extras include "making-of" documentary, "photo-pitch" short with director Curtis Hanson, interactive map of Los Angeles featuring locations used in the movie, trailers, and textual supplements.
